SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP FESTIVAL

opens outdoor in Sofia – July 15-18, 2021

It's time for outdoor events! The moment of the year has come, when for us from the Bulgarian Center for Non-Profit Law a number of socially entrepreneurial occasions for celebration, discussion, gathering and well-being are upcomming.

Occasions for which we invite you to join us within the first of its kind FESTIVAL OF SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP. The event will be held at the Sofia Ring Mall Amphitheater from 15 to 18 July 2021 and will bring together social enterprises from across the country. The aim is to keep on popularizing the causes of social enterprises, on supporting their activities and encouraging the production and supply of cause-related products.

Here is what awaits you during the festival days:

 

July 15 – 18: DarPazar in Sofia Ring Mall

Shop for a cause. Give Meaning! From 15 to 18 July we will turn the open space in front of Sofia Ring Mall into a festive bazaar with the main actors – social enterprises. The bazaar is a place for sharing and communication. There, under the shaded tents you will find not only a huge variety of beautiful, practical and delicious products, but you will meet warm-hearted people who are behind the making of these cause-related gifts. You will have the opportunity to learn the stories of the products offered, who makes them, why, what fates are intertwined and how your purchase can have a positive impact.

 

July 15, 11:00 – 17:00: Let’s Grow Together: Ideas and Actions for a Better Tomorrow

Together with the community of social enterprises and responsible companies with the support of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, we will pay special attention to how social enterprises reach markets and what are the good examples, challenges and new opportunities. Who exactly are social enterprises and how they position themselves on the market of goods and services? How the dynamic 2020 will affect the social entrepreneurial sector against the background of general trends within the social and economic environment are just some of the issues we are looking for answers to.

And before that we will discuss the connection between social services, social entrepreneurship and employment and what we have achieved within the project "I can work! Employment support for people with intellectual disabilities. "

 

17:30 – 18:30 Giving a hand today changes the world tomorrow (closed event)

The first day of the festival will end with the first live meeting between the 10 participants in the LET’s GO Entrepreneurship Program and their mentors, who have been an integral part of developing mission-related business ideas over the past few months.

 

July 16, 11:00 – 13:00: Speed dating with social innovators

Good ideas are like people. They need more good people. This is where young people, students and social entrepreneurs can meet, get to know each other, generate ideas, exchange contacts and discuss potential future partnerships. Be a social innovator!

 

13:30 – 16:00 Workshop on communication of causes of social enterprises (closed event)

At the end of the day we will take time to learn more how to successfully communicate the causes of social enterprises in a thematic practical workshop.

 

July 16, 17:00 – 18:00: Award event for the finalists in the competition "Best NGO Business Plan"

Support is the most important job! At the end of the working week we will hold the official award event for the winners of the competition "Best NGO Business Plan".

We will meet you with the organizations that are part of this year's edition of the NGO Entrepreneurship Program LET's GO.

The organizations that have presented the best business plan for developing social entrepreneurship will receive financial, mentoring and expert support to implement their business ideas with a cause. We will tell you more about their diverse and ingenious ideas on how to change the world for the better.

 

July 17 and 18, 11:00 – 13:00 | 16:00 – 18:00: Creative workshops with DarPazar

Make yourself a gift with a cause! Become part of the working atmosphere of creative social enterprises that are engaged in making beautiful and practical souvenirs. Get to know the process of inventing and creating priceless gifts and create one of your own.
