When the score is even but the cause wins: BUBA vs. Accenture for Let’s GO 2025
On June 21, 2025, in Sofia, we witnessed a basketball game that will not be remembered only for its final score of 87:87, but for the message it left behind.
The rising stars of BUBA Basketball – boys with dreams, talent, and discipline – took on the corporate team of Accenture Bulgaria in a different kind of competition: one played with a ball in hand and a cause in heart. And to make it even more special, the coach, motivator, and star player was none other than the unforgettable Ivo Ivanov.
What is Let’s GO 2025?
Let’s GO 2025 supports social entrepreneurs – people who don’t just build businesses, but solve real societal problems.
The initiative brings together individuals, professionals, and organizations who believe that social change requires consistent support, funding, and inspiration.
The teams
At first glance, BUBA Basketball and Accenture Bulgaria come from different worlds.
One team – young, bold, sweaty from practice and driven by dreams.
The other – seasoned professionals, used to juggling code, strategies, and global clients.
But on June 21, those two worlds met on the basketball court – and created something magical.
Accenture is no stranger to doing good – for more than 10 years, they have supported the work of the Bulgarian Center for Not-for-Profit Law (BCNL) and our efforts to strengthen civil society in Bulgaria. Whether it’s providing legal support, helping with the digital transformation of the NGO sector, or mentoring young changemakers – they are always among the first to say, “Yes! We’ll help!”
And once again, this year, they joined not with laptops, but with sneakers.
Not with slide decks, but with three-pointers. Not just with a CSR plan, but with soul.
The coach – Ivo Ivanov: The voice of the heart
It’s impossible not to mention the man who made this event magical – Ivo Ivanov. A writer, sports journalist, and the voice of human dignity. With his presence alone, Ivo brings emotion to the court. But in our match, he went even further – coaching, inspiring, and playing side by side with the teams.
The trophy went to BUBA – but the message reached us all: Play with soul. Support with purpose. Believe in change.
This wasn’t just a game between kids and professionals. It was a meeting of two generations who believe in one thing: That the future is built with good deeds, fair play, and people who don’t wait for change – they create it.
