Who will determine the best NGO business plan in Let's GO 2023?

16 civic organizations participated in Let's GO 2023 ready to gather new knowledge and skills to start a business with a cause. Creating a business plan from scratch is more than a difficult task. It's a challenge that not everyone is ready to take on, but social entrepreneurs are the type of people who don't give up in the face of adversity. These 16 brave teams are now ready to enter the competition for the best NGO business plan of 2023!

Who will determine the winners? The jury of Let's GO is a group of professionals who have made significant achievements in their fields. People who are not only good at what they do, but also willing to support startups knowing that the success of one is the success of all. They have a flair for good business and an eye for evaluating the potential of ideas. Here is the jury!

 

Petya Dyulgerova, Program Director, Media Development, America for Bulgaria Foundation

Petya Dulgerova joined America for Bulgaria Foundation in January 2022 as Program Director, Media Development. Before that, she was a project manager for Bulgaria and North Macedonia at the Friedrich Naumann Freedom Foundation. Among the projects she has worked on is the Black Book of Government Waste in Bulgaria, which contains (video) stories by investigative journalists about how taxpayers' money is being spent inefficiently.

She was a member of the Forbes Bulgaria jury in their ranking of the 30 most talented young Bulgarians under 30 years of age, as well as in the competition for debating skills in German.

 

Petar Tornev - Managing Director of the Technology Center of Accenture in Bulgaria and member of the board of AIBEST

He has been working in the IT field for more than 18 years. He graduated in "Computer Systems and Technologies" at the Technical University - Varna. He became a graduate of Harvard Business School after completing the Leadership Development program in 2015. In 2020, he completed his EMBA at the American University in Bulgaria.

He has a keen interest in and actively engages in enhancing leadership potential and education in Bulgaria. He contributes to the development of strategies and innovative solutions in cloud technologies, cyber security, online sales, and management, as well as the implementation of policies related to cultural, age, and gender diversity in companies.

 

Borislava Vladimirova, Corporate Citizenship Lead

Borislava Vladimirova has been part of the Accenture Bulgaria team since 2016. She simultaneously combines two roles in the company - Corporate Citizenship Lead and coordinator of administrative activities in terms of safety and security, business continuity plans, organization of internal events, etc.

Her interests are in the field of development of socially responsible activities in the company and project management.

 

Victoria Blazheva - First Vice President, Director of Marketing and Communications for Central and Eastern Europe, UniCredit Group

Victoria Blazheva is the first vice president, director of Marketing and Communications for Central and Eastern Europe of UniCredit Group. From 2020 to 2022, she was the director of "Strategy and Business" of UniCredit Bulbank, and before that, she was in charge of "Public Relations and Communications" of the Bulgarian bank for more than 10 years.

Victoria is on the board of directors of the Trust for a Social Alternative and on the board of the Harvard Club of Bulgaria. She is a member of the Council of Women in Business and the European Association of Communication Directors. She has lectured in the fields of marketing, communications, and social entrepreneurship in various programs and conferences. She leads the "Corporate Communications" course at the Bulgarian representative office of the London School of PR.

She holds an MBA from Warwick Business School. She speaks English and Italian.

 

Zaharina Vetseva - Director of Corporate Communications and CSR, Telus International Bulgaria

Zaharina is in charge of advertising communication, brand management, and all socially responsible activities of the company, which has over 4,000 employees in Bulgaria. As part of TELUS International Bulgaria, she has conducted a number of volunteer activities in various directions with a total of over 6,000 participants. Every year, the company distributes 170,000 BGN through the TELUS International Foundation in Bulgaria for projects in the fields of healthcare, environment, and education.

 

Zhenya Dimitrova, Head of the Real Estate Department, CMS Sofia

Zhenya Dimitrova is a lawyer with over 20 years of professional experience. She heads the Real Estate practice at CMS Sofia, the largest international law firm in Bulgaria. As part of the CMS team, she consults some of the most significant transactions in the sector in recent years. She is an active participant in the company's activities related to the support of social projects in Bulgaria and abroad and donations.

Before joining the CMS team, Zhenya worked as a legal consultant on the JOBS project of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), aimed at the implementation of specific tools to support entrepreneurship in the creation and strengthening of micro and small businesses, and of employment opportunities and labor income in economically disadvantaged communities.
