The Bulgarian Center for Not-for-Profit Law (BCNL) follows rules and procedures that ensure compliance with the current national and European legislation in the field of data protection. In this regard, BCNL collects and processes personal data in a lawful and conscientious manner, stores them with care and security and does not provide them to third parties illegally.

Email addresses/ Contact phone numbers
The email addresses provided by you as participants in our events and other activities related to increasing the capacity of civil society representatives (trainings, seminars, programs, etc.) will be used only in connection with providing additional information and opportunities for inclusion in our activities with a view to achieving sustainability and consistency in the provision by BCNL of support for the development of civil society, in particular to civil organizations.
If you have sent us an inquiry via our contact form on the BCNL website or directly to the BCNL email address, your contact details (names, email address and telephone number) will be used solely for the purpose of responding to your inquiry. These data will not be further processed and stored without your consent.
If you wish to unsubscribe from our email list, you can do so at any time, as indicated in each email you receive, or by contacting us. BCNL does not illegally provide email addresses from its database to third parties, nor does it use them for marketing purposes. Upon unsubscribing, BCNL deletes your email address permanently.

Information Security

We use various security methods such as encryption systems and authorization systems to maintain the security of your information. The information we have about you is protected by firewalls and is only accessible to a limited number of members of our team who have signed a contract not to provide it to third parties.

Your rights as data subjects, how to exercise them and how to protect them

Each individual has the following rights with regard to their personal data processed by BCNL:

  2. right to access their personal data;
  3. right to rectification;
  4. right to erasure;
  5. right to restriction of processing;
  6. right to data portability;
  7. right to object to processing of their personal data.

BCNL does not make decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling of data subjects.
The right of data subjects to information is exercised through the concise, understandable and easily accessible information provided in this document, which relates to the processing. Additional information related to the processing of personal data by BCNL, which is due under the current regulatory framework, can be obtained in your capacity as a data subject by submitting an electronic application to the BCNL email address info@bcnl.org.
The rights listed in points 2 to 7 can be exercised by submitting an electronic application to the BCNL email address.
The rights of data subjects are interpreted in the sense set out in the provisions of Chapter Three of (Regulation (EU) 2016/679).
In the event of a complaint regarding the exercise of the specified rights, the data subject has the right to request a review of his case, and in the event of a refusal to review – to file a complaint with the supervisory authority – the Personal Data Protection Commission.
