THE DRAFT FOR AMENDMENTS AND SUPPLEMENTS TO THE NGO LAW IS PENDING IN PARLIAMENT
At the end of June the Draft for amendments and supplements to the NGO law has been entered in Parliament by Mr. Liutvi Mestan – Member of Parliament. The Legal committee is the leading committee for the law.
The draft has been prepared by experts of BCNL after which together with the Open Society Institute a campaign for discussing it was conducted in which more than 50 practicing lawyers (attorneys, judges, consultants), financial and taxation experts and NGOs representatives from Bourgas, Varna, Karjali, Plovdiv, Smolian, Sofia and Stara Zagora took part.
The main objective of the suggested amendments is the implementation in practice of the law to be improved and to be facilitated the functioning of the NGOs and of the institutions responsible for their registration without making radical changes in the present legal frame.
