FROM HUMAN RIGHTS DEFENDERS TO HUMAN RIGHTS DEFENDERS

The From Human Rights Defenders to Human Rights Defenders Project comprises three one-day workshops that aim to consolidate advocacy efforts to improve legislation and practices for protection from domestic and gender-based violence.

The first two workshops are designed for organizations with experience in advocacy on the topic of protection from domestic violence, while the last one is aimed at other organizations working in the social sphere, sympathetic to the topic, in order to mobilize efforts to support changes in the environment.

In defining the advocacy objectives and developing a campaign concept, the latest amendments to the Law on Protection against Domestic Violence and the relevant texts in the Penal Code, as well as the draft Directive on combating violence against women and domestic violence, the Istanbul Convention and the Victims' Rights Directive are taken into account.
