Registration requirements

Generally in order to be recognized as and to receive status of legal persons the associations/foundations should be registered by the Register for not-for-profit legal entities by the Registry Agency.

 According to the regulation of the Non-profit Legal Entities Act the procedure consists of preparing a set of documents: mainly the Statute and the Minutes from the General Assembly in the case of an Association and the Articles of incorporation in the case of a Foundation. The second step is the submission of the documents in the Register for not-for-profit legal entities by the Registry Agency which is entitled by the law to require additional documents and to provide the registrant with mandatory instructions and prescriptions to be followed in order the registration to be allowed.
