A PROCESS FOR NOMINATION OF NGO REPRESENTATIVES WHO WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS COUNCIL BY THE MINISTER OF ЕROPEAN AFFAIRS HAS STARTED
The Council’s main objective will be to draw up common rules of interaction between civil society organizations and state institutions.
The interaction will be pursued at two levels:
· at the legislative power level – the committees in the Parliament;
· at the executive power level – ministries and operational programmes.
The council shall be a structure open to wide range of experts. The Council is an informational network (pool of resources), which facilitates and contributes to the effectiveness of the work of civil society organizations, as well as state institutions.
The council shall not be considered as representative of the whole third sector, but shall be specialized and representative to different spheres of public life, including:
education;
culture and arts;
informational technologies;
environment;
social services;
economical development, local and regional development, local self-government;
minority issues and vulnerable social groups;
health care;
private-public partnership (partnership between civil society organisations and the state);
media
The Council shall comprise two representatives of the third sector in each of the above mentioned fields. Each candidate should be supported by at least ten NGOs from the respective field. You should send your nominations to: nomination@osf.bg till April 7, 2006.
