LEGAL ARRANGEMENTS ON HEALTHCARE INSTITUTIONS IN BULGARIA, THE EU AND USA Sofia, January 2002

The publication has the aim to analyze the legal arrangements for establishment of healthcare institutions in Bulgaria, USA and in a large number of EU countries among which France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Belgium, Spain and Sweden.

 

The analysis gives an outline of the legal framework for organizational structure, establishment, activity, funding, reorganization and dissolution of healthcare institutions in the separate countries.

 

A special emphasis in the survey has been put on the possibility for NGOs to operate as healthcare institutions. The material concludes with recommendations about the participation of NGOs in the provision of healthcare services.
