CAMPAIGN ON SIMPLIFYING EU-FUNDED PROJECT APPLICATION AND IMPLEMENTATION PROCEDURES
26 March 2010
The Bulgarian Center for Not-for-Profit Law and The Programme and Analytical Centre for European Law (PACEL) Foundation launched a campaign on collecting negative examples and bad practices of NGO activities under the Operational Programs as well as other programs whose funds are allocated by the state. The campaign aims to identify the problematic areas of NGO involvement in EU-funded projects and submit concrete suggestions to Minister Tomislav Donchev on simplifying contract application and implementation procedures.
We hereby request all NGOs experienced in working on or applying for EU funding to kindly send us information about the challenges they have faced in the process.
In order to ensure that the information you send is as helpful as possible, you are kindly asked to provide a one-page description of your case(s) and include information as follows:
Program providing the funding;
Specific issue/challenge;
Type of issue/challenge, e.g. program requisites (e.g. a bank guarantee for advance payment) or failure to comply with the respective program requisites (e.g. delayed payment).
Please send your issues, cases and suggestions by 16 April 2010 to the following e-mail address: lachezar@bcnl.org
