Monitoring and Assessment of the Activity of the Central Register with the Ministry of Justice

November 2009 – August 2010

The main purpose of the project is to improve the efficiency of the Central Register (CR) with the Ministry of Justice in order to achieve transparency of the activities and the statute of the registered NGOs.

The main project activities for achieving the purposes are:

  1. Initial meetings of the project staff;
  2. Preparing a methodology and criteria for assessment of the activity of the CR;
  3. Preparing questionnaires for the target groups and disseminating them among NGOs;
  4. Documentary research of the activity of the CR;
  5. Meetings and discussions with representatives of the CR administration and of other institutions;
  6. Summarizing the results from the documentary research and preparing a report on the assessment of the CR activity;
  7. Meeting of the expert group for discussing the conclusions in the report and preparing an action plan;
  8. Information campaign;
  9. Support for implementing the recommendations for improving the CR work.
