NGOs and Local Authorities: Partnership Without Conflict of Interests

Brief description:

The project aims to acquaint local authorities and NGOs with the newly adopted Law on prevention of conflicts of interest and to educate them on how to create partnerships with each other without entering into potential conflicts of interest.

The planned activities are:

a. Analysis of the legal provisions on conflict of interest and on the legal mechanisms for local partnerships.

b. Preparation and publication of a practical manual on the how to avoid conflict of interests under the new law and how to enter into partnerships with NGOs at the local level with relevant practical examples.

c. Organization of 6 regional trainings for local official and NGO representatives on issues related to the new law on conflict of interest and mechanisms for local partnerships.

d. During the whole duration of the project legal consultation to NGOs and local authorities on these issues will be provided.
