THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTAL OF THE ANNUAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE ACTIVITY IN THE CENTRAL REGISTRY OF THE REGISTERED NGOs IS EXPIRING
According to the Non-Profit Legal Entities Act, NGOs with public benefit purposes, registered in the Central Registry are obliged to submit information about their activity for the previous year to the Central Registry until May, 31st of each year.
In order to do that the registered NGOs need to submit the following set of documents:
1. copies of the court decisions for registration of changes – if there are such;
2. list of the former members of the governing bodies – if there are changes in these bodies;
3. information about the activity under art. 38 from the law – which includes a description of the activities executed for achieving of the specific public benefit purposes listed in art. 38;
4. annual accounting report as per sample which should include:
a) balance sheet;
b) report on the incomes and the expenses;
c) report on the cash flow;
d) report on the private capital.
5. The Annual report on the activity prepared according to art. 40, par. 2, which should include:
a) the essential activities, the funds spent on them, their relation with the goals and the programs of the organization and the results achieved;
b) the amount of the granted property and the incomes from the other fundraising activities;
c) The financial result.
6. Declaration for the owed taxes, customs duties and other public payments;
7. Changes to the statutes – if such have been made.
According to art. 48, par. 1, sub-par. 1 from the Non-Profit Legal Entities Act the sanction for NGOs which systematically fail to submit within the deadline information in the Central Registry of the Ministry of Justice is deletion of their registration.
