LEAP provides hands-on experience in the U.S. to Bulgarian professionals in the civic, public and private sectors. The program aims to support the potential of active Bulgarians in the early and mid stages of their career development who have the ideas and determination to improve the communities in which they live and make a positive difference in Bulgaria.

WHAT IS LEAP?
LEAP aims to help participants develop essential leadership skills and unlock their potential to communicate their ideas effectively, inspire others and rally support around a vision of the greater good. Part of LEAP’s mission is to foster a culture of mutual respect and collaboration. Ah, how we need that!
Through LEAP , the America for Bulgaria Foundation further contributes to building a vibrant and active civil society and fosters a business-friendly environment in Bulgaria.
LEAP includes a training program at Babson College in Boston, Massachusetts, along with cultural immersion in the Big Apple – New York City. The program is open to candidates of any background up to the age of 40.

America for Bulgaria Foundation‘s LEAP Program is run by Babson College, a leading American educational institution located in Boston, Massachusetts.
Since its founding more than a century ago, Babson College has pioneered entrepreneurship and leadership education and instilled in its students an entrepreneurial mindset – the most powerful force for creating economic and social change. For more than 30 years, Babson College has held the top spot in U.S. News and World Report’ s rankings in entrepreneurship education for both its undergraduate and graduate programs.
In September 2024, Babson was named the second best college in the U.S. by The Wall Street Journal. It has also achieved significant success in its executive education programs, both domestically and internationally.

The America for Bulgaria Foundation has partnered with three Bulgarian organizations to expand the program’s reach. The Association of Bulgarian Leaders and Entrepreneurs – ABLE will oversee the overall administration of LEAP III, while the Bulgarian Center for Not-for-Profit Law and the Institute for Market Economics will support efforts to promote the initiative and assist with the candidate selection process.
