We would like to remind you that the deadline for submittal in the Central registry of the annual information about the activity of the public benefit NGOs for 2005 is expiring on May, 31st 2006.

According to the Implementing Regulations to the Social Support Act, all social service providers, including NGOs, registered at the Agency for social support, are obliged to yearly submit a report on their activity related to social service delivery to the Agency by May, 31. A special template for the report with certain questions was introduced for the past two years. It does not have to be supported by other documents.

On May 17, 2006 the Bulgarian Center for Not-for-Profit Law (BCNL) made a public presentation of the book “Survey of Nonprofit Governance Practices in Bulgaria”.

The Commercial Registry Bill, which the Parliament passed in its second reading, was sent by the President back to the Parliament for discussion over again.

The amendments and supplements to the Constitution passed by the General Assembly, were promulgated in issue 27 of the State gazette from March 31st, 2006. The amendments concern the provisions of the main law on The National Assembly, the judicial power, and also set the main legal framework of the ombudsman.
