Our big dream is to raise the sum of BGN 10,000 by April 1, 2023 for the prize fund of gifted authors in the contest "Civic Alarm Clock" vol.6, creating art with a social mission, and for the organization of the rights and art festival CITIZEN ALARM CLOCK vol.3 where they will be rewarded.

An authoritative jury of professionals in their fields will evaluate and select the best and most impactful works of the first 3 places in each of the 3 competition categories: "Photography", "Illustration", "Text".

We believe that with your help, we will succeed!

Why do we do it?

We at the Bulgarian Center for Non-Profit Law (BCNP) 6 years ago launched "Civil Alarm Clock" – a competition for artists who want to raise the topic of civil liberties and the opportunity to associate, speak freely, and protest.

So far, more than 480 talented authors have participated in the competition, who explored and shared their form of empathy for what is happening to our civil rights and freedoms. We received more than 1000 illustrations, comics, photographs, poems, essays, stories, journalistic materials. All these creative works had one main message: "We are free, we have rights and they are important to us!"

In 2022, with the funds from the donation campaign, we honored 12 young and talented authors who received cash prizes for their inspiring works dedicated to the power of being ONE when we are UNITED.
