Bulgarian Center For Not-For-Profit Law nominate Judge Verginia Micheva-Ruseva for the award “Human of the year 2014”
Human of the Year are the annual awards recognizing contributions to human rights.Judge Micheva-Ruseva ruled the first judgment in Bulgaria, which refused to put a person under guardianship with the motive that on the one hand this institute contradicts the Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities and on the other – that the guardianship doesn’t provide the necessary protection and support for the person.
